Kitty and the Midnight Hour

VAMPIRES. WEREWOLVES. TALK RADIO.
Kitty Norville is a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station—and a werewolf in the closet. Sick of lame song requests, she accidentally starts "The Midnight Hour," a late-night advice show for the supernaturally disadvantaged. After desperate vampires, werewolves, and witches across the country begin calling in to share their woes, her new show is a raging success. But it’s Kitty who can use some help. With one sexy werewolf-hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail, Kitty may have bitten off more than she can chew…

My Thoughts- A werewolf named Kitty is hilarious to me. Someone highly recommended this series to me and I Love it. It's funny. I was a little disappointed in Kitty in the first part of the book, she was very subservient but you get to watch her character grow. Kitty's position as 'baby' in the pack is no longer working and she starts to move up the ranks, she's outted as a werewolf on her nationally syndicated radio show , & there are a string of murders (committed by a werewolf)and Kitty has to deal with the cops. Did a mention vampires and a hot werewolf hit man? This story has it all! It was a very lighthearted paranormal book, perfect for the beach.

Blog Tour - Masked By Moonlight

IN THIS STUNNING FIRST BOOK FROM NANCY GIDEON’S SIZZLING NEW SERIES, A TENACIOUS COP AND HER SHAPE-SHIFTING ENEMY SACRIFICE EVERYTHING FOR FORBIDDEN DESIRE.

ALL SHE WANTS IS REVENGE.

New Orleans homicide detective Charlotte Caissie is dedicated to bringing down the crime boss responsible for her father’s murder. Using Jimmy Legere’s mysterious and irresistible right-hand man is a dangerous gamble, and not only due to his reputation as more monster than man. Because her feelings for Max Savoie are . . . complicated.

THEN HE RISKS HIS LIFE TO SAVE HERS.

Rescued from the swamps as a child, Max exists silently in Legere’s shadow, heeding only his voice—until Charlotte Caissie awakens his emotions and tests his loyalties. Stepping outside his cautious rules threatens more than just his heart. He could expose his darkest secret.

NOW THEY’RE BOTH IN OVER THEIR HEADS.

Testing boundaries they weren’t meant to cross means facing the truth about who and what they are—and what they need from each other. If Max is the murderer she seeks, Charlotte could be his next victim. She can’t afford to trust any man. Good thing Max isn’t one.

Excerpt from Masked by Moolight

My Thoughts - Looking at the cover you'd never imagine this book to be so complex and well written.
I even showed it to my friend and she thought it was going to be some cheesy romance novel but it wasn't. It's everything I love...well written characters, paranormal, crime mystery, humor, and a little romance. This is the first book in this series. I'm looking forward to reading the rest!

Dead in the Family Book 10 of the Sookie Stachouse books Review

From Amazon - After enduring torture and the loss of loved ones during the brief but deadly Faery War, Sookie Stackhouse is hurt and she's angry. Just about the only bright spot in her life is the love she thinks she feels for vampire Eric Northman. But he's under scrutiny by the new Vampire King because of their relationship. And as the political implications of the Shifters coming out are beginning to be felt, Sookie's connection to the Shreveport pack draws her into the debate. Worst of all, though the door to Faery has been closed, there are still some Fae on the human side-and one of them is angry at Sookie. Very, very angry...

Here is the promo for Season 3 of Trueblood - The series that is based on the books. The
t.v. series is a lot darker than the books IMO I wouldn't watch this with your little ones around

My Thoughts - Oh I LOVE the Sookie Stackhouse books. I devour them very quickly although this one left me slightly disappointed. I didn't hate it and I'm glad I read it
BUT compared to her other books I believe it could have been so much better.
She spent so much time trying to catch the reader up on the previous books it was quite aggravating. This book is the 10th book and would never be considered a stand alone book so why catch everyone up? Expect that they read the 1st 9. A little catching up is fine but I felt like it was a hundred pages of the book.
I did enjoy the Alexei story line, very cleaver and I was a little happy for Bill... I guess. The subplots were good once she got on with the story but as much as I love Eric, he lost a couple points in my mind. Still love him but he I just hated to see him the way he was in this book. I'm looking forward to the next segment of the series!

Love all things Swedish like Eric? I added my Swedish Meatball recipe on my
other site Taking Time for Mommy

Amazon Queen Blog Tour & Review

Being an Amazon ruler just became a royal pain.

Amazon queen Zery Kostovska has never questioned tribe traditions. After all, these rules have kept the tribe strong for millennia and enabled them to live undetected, even in modern-day America. Zery is tough, fair, commanding—the perfect Amazon leader.

At least, she was. A new high priestess with a penchant for secrecy and technology is threatening Zery’s rule. Plus, with the discovery of the Amazon sons, males with the same skills as their female counterparts, even Zery can’t deny that the tribe must change. But how? Some want to cooperate with the sons. Others believe brutal new leadership is needed—and are willing to kill to make it happen.

Once, Zery’s word was law. Now, she has no idea who to trust, especially with one powerful Amazon son making her question all her instincts. For Zery, tribe comes first, but the battle drawing near is unlike any she’s faced before . . . and losing might cost her both the tribe and her life.

My Thoughts - I was completely hook from the very first page! Lori Devoti has a new life long fan. As
a matter of fact I blame her for my sunburn at the beach because I was so engrossed I cared of little else!
The book was extremely fast paced and action packed! I hadn't read Amazon Ink the first book in the series, Amazon Queen was a great stand alone book but now I have to read Amazon Ink and I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. If you love urban fantasy then I highly suggest picking this book up!

MEGAN CHASE/DEMON BOOK #3
Pocket Books
ISBN-10: 1439167613
ISBN-13: 9781439167618

A ROMANTIC INTERLUDE…OR A DATE WITH HELL?

Psychologist and psychic Megan Chase has grown remarkably comfortable hanging out with demons. The demon “family” she leads is happy, her slo practice is stabilizing, and she and her steamy demon lover Greyson Dante are closer than ever. But when the couple books a week at a luxury hotel to attend a meeting of demon leaders, some unanticipated problems appear.

An FBI agent with an unhealthy interest in less-than-legitimate demon business shows up; the demon community is urging Megan to undergo the rite that will make her a real demon; and a slightly shady minister is holding one of his wildly popular “weekend exorcisms” just down the road. And oh yes, someone with scary magical abilities is attempting to kill her.

Then, just when it seems as if things couldn’t possibly get any worse, a secret comes to light that could jeopardize Megan and Greyson’s future—if Megan manages to live that long. With things heating up, it’s becoming difficult to keep a cool head…

Sexy Fun book! I like Stacia's style of writing and After reading this book I really want to go back and read the 1st 2 in the series. Greyson and Megan have great chemistry.
