My Thoughts - I'm a huge fan of fantasy and the paranormal. I wanted to read this book as soon as I saw the cover, it just called to me and I certainly was not disappointed.  The Hunted of 2060 was very fast paced with beautiful descriptions, action, and a nice romantic story line . Ami made me feel like I was part of the world she created. She did a wonderful job of taking the shifter concept and making it her own. I highly recommend this book for all of my paranormal book reading friends who are looking for something new and fresh to read.

My Thoughts- I have to admit I gave this book a big eye roll when I read the back. It seems everyone is jumping on the zombie bandwagon & Zombies = Gore and I'm not big fan of blood and guts but I forgave it because this book was funny I mean REALLY funny!  I mean Mick Jagger is a Zombie Hunter & Ringo Starr a Ninja Lord! I enjoyed the dark humor although I admit this book won't be for everyone.

Book Club Reading Guide
My Thoughts - This was an extremely quick read.  I have nothing in common with these stay at home moms, they are rich as I am not. They are mean and catty and I hope I am not. This was an interesting book. My husband once told me nothing is as it appears and that came to mind when I was reading this. You think they have perfect lives in the beginning but quickly realize they do not. This is perfect for those who like Desperate Housewives.

My Thoughts - This is the 2nd book in the Circle of Sin Trilogy. I LOVED the first book to Sin with a Scoundrel. This one was good also, there was just a minor annoyance, it may or may not bother you. The main characters bickered a lot. It usually ended in hot lovin' though. It was still fast paced and fun.

For a kid who grew up in a house full of books and music, I must admit I was a reluctant reader. I loved stories, but preferred them to be read to me. My mother must still remember word-for-word many stories she read to me dozens of times. My father often made up stories to tell me. When I was six, (first grade) I learned to read for myself. My older brother was a quick study and learned to read when he was four. But I was somewhat hyperactive, and preferred playing outdoors to reading. Stories that were short and highly illustrated were okay, chapter books were punishment pretty much right through grammar school. One of the books I remember best was THE BOXCAR CHILDREN, read to the class by our fourth grade teacher. I loved that book, even though I didn’t read it for myself.



My mother had an uphill battle on her hands. It was part of the job description of being a kid in our family to go to the library every 2 weeks, and get 2 books to read. I mostly wimped out and got short illustrated books from Doctor Seuss and the like. Most of the books I got from the library ended up on top of a bureau or under the bed until they were overdue. Unread. I did start to enjoy the Danny Dunn series in fifth or sixth grade, and got my imagination so fired up that I would go off and write my own Danny Dunn stories. Filling 3 pages in those days took about as much of me as filling 300 now. My parents were highly amused that I would write so vigorously and read so . . . not.



On Saturdays we would go to the Charlestown Boys Club, where my father had a part-time job. Weekdays he taught English at a junior high school, nights he was a bartender, and Saturdays he worked the “games room” at the boys club, where a hundred boys played pool, checkers, chess, watched “Fury” and “Casper the Friendly Ghost” on TV, and had fistfights. The games room could also be set up as an auditorium, and each Saturday afternoon the room would be darkened for a movie. We got into the movie free if we helped set up the folding chairs. Upstairs was the Boys Club Library, where “Miss D” presided at her old oak desk. “Miss D” was actually Mrs. DeSimone, who cleverly got us to read by starting a reading club. If you read five books, you would get a prize. After reading each book, you had to go to her desk, where she would go through the book with you and ask a few questions, and then she would record it on your record. I don’t remember how many books I read there, nor do I remember the prizes, but I clearly remember “Miss D.”



The big change came in eighth grade. One evening my parents discovered that “To Kill a Mockingbird” was on TV, and I watched it with them. When my father told me that there was also a book, and he could get it for me at his school, I jumped at the chance. I devoured the book and decided that reading was an open door to an incredible world that I wanted to be a part of, and it’s been that way since.

My Thoughts - I hadn't read her first book The Rossetti Letter but the Devlin Diary is a great stand alone book. I love historical fiction and this didn't disappoint. Fans of Philippa Gregory will love this book! It had 2 intriguing dual time story lines. After reading this I can't wait to go back and read The Rossetti Letter.A MUST READ, especially for a Book Club. So much to talk about!

Browse Inside! My Thoughts - I was completely hook from the very first page! Lori Devoti has a new life long fan. Asa matter of fact I blame her for my sunburn at the beach because I was so engrossed I cared of little else!The book was extremely fast paced and action packed! I hadn't read Amazon Ink the first book in the series, Amazon Queen was a great stand alone book but now I have to read Amazon Ink and I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. If you love urban fantasy then I highly suggest picking this book up!

My Thoughts - I was a giddy girl when I started reading this book. I love boating andpart of this story takes place in my stomping grounds here in Florida.This book is beautifully written and full of action. The main character Matt is the kind of guy trouble seems to find. Actually, all of the characters are well rounded and well written. I don't want to give any thing away but I will say this is a book I will read over and over again.Yes, it's that GOOD!

The Comeback Story of the Season . . .

The idea for PLAY DEAD came to me around the time that the steroid scandals in professional sports really began to break with alarming frequency. Many of the athletes found guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs claimed they had done so to remain competitive with the other users on the field. This idea planted the seed for PLAY DEAD - It takes monsters to beat monsters. From there, I considered what type of 'monsters' could actually be competitive against the most juiced-up football team I could imagine? Why, zombies of course. I really got excited about the idea of a zombie football team being the good guys...the team to cheer for. I also had a lot of fun playing on the idea that, at least on paper, zombies make the perfect football players. They have no fear; they feel no pain, and they are driven by a singular focus - victory. Also they make sure to eat plenty of...um...well, perhaps protein would be the most appropriate word.

My Thoughts - I love foot ball stories and I love zombies although you don't have to like either to enjoy this clever book. I was caught up in this story right away and it was an enjoyable read, something I can take to the beach then pass off to the hubby. I'm wondering why they haven't made a movie out of this yet?
